Home Equity Line of Credit
Use the equity you've built in your home to finance almost anything. A HELOC
allows you to have access to a predetermined amount of funds, to use however you
please.

Intro Rate

Intro rate is for 3 months. The variable rate
index used will be the Wall Street Journal Prime Rate. The index value will be
determined 10 days prior to the interest rate adjustment. The rate could change
semi-annually on January 1 and July 1. The minimum interest rate is 7.00% APR*
and the maximum interest rate is 18.00% APR* or maximum allowed by law.

HELOC Benefits
- Variable rate of interest
- Borrow up to 85% of assessed value or 80% of
appraised value between any first lien mortgage and home equity line of
credit limit
- HELOC established for 180 month period.
Minimum payment required of $100.00
- Draw period for the five years. The initial
advance must be at least $5,000.00 with a subsequent advance minimum
$500.00. Advances are limited to one per quarter and will be disbursed by
the credit union.
- This loan requires a copy of the tax assessed
value, fees for loan processing, flood hazard determination, title search,
and (if required), an appraisal.
- Maximum loan amount of $50,000. No minimum
loan balance is required.
- Interest may be tax deductible (Consult with
your tax advisor.)
- No points, maintenance fees or prepayment penalties
- Extra benefit of Joint Life Loan Protection
insurance on loans for borrowers and co-borrowers up to $20,000
coverage per loan at no direct charge to the member.
Home Equity Loan applications
cannot be taken electronically. You must complete an application from the
credit union office.
NOTE: HAFCU finances single-family owner
occupied units only. The property must be within a 100 mile radius of the
Credit Union.
Home Equity Early Disclosures

Your savings Federally insured to at least $250,000
and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government.
